RecordGuard Privacy Policy

RecordGuard is a Mac utility that creates local backup audio tracks during recording workflows. This privacy policy explains how RecordGuard handles data.
Data Collection
RecordGuard does not collect personal data.
The app does not require an account, does not use analytics, does not use advertising trackers, and does not upload audio files to a server.
Local Audio Files
When you start a recording, RecordGuard saves audio files locally on your Mac. These files may include system-audio and microphone-audio backup tracks.
These files remain on your device unless you choose to share, move, import, or delete them.
Permissions
RecordGuard asks macOS for Screen & System Audio Recording permission to capture system audio and Microphone permission to capture microphone audio.
Protected or Sensitive Content
RecordGuard is not intended for hidden recording, protected media recording, or recording sensitive content without permission.
Email Feedback and Support
If you choose to email feedback or support details, the information you include in that email will be received through your email provider and handled for support and product-improvement purposes.
Please do not send sensitive audio recordings unless specifically requested.
Third-Party Services
RecordGuard does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be published at this URL.
